Terms of Service
TeamStar Manager
Effective date: 16 August 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of TeamStar Manager (the “Service”), operated by TeamStar Solutions Pty Ltd (ABN 60 675 843 008) (“TeamStar”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to TeamStar Manager only (including teamstar.team and related Manager features). They do not cover other TeamStar products unless we expressly say so.
1. Who we are
TeamStar Solutions Pty Ltd
ABN 60 675 843 008
Western Australia, Australia
Email: info@teamstar.net.au
2. The Service
TeamStar Manager is a web-based platform that helps team managers and authorised club users manage sporting teams. Depending on your plan and configuration, features may include:
- team and player administration;
- availability, selection and lineup tools;
- game-related payments and fee collection;
- player voting (for example fairest and best);
- communications via SMS or other channels using contact details you provide; and
- related tools and integrations we make available from time to time.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service with reasonable notice where practicable. We do not guarantee that every feature will remain available indefinitely.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old, or have authority from a parent/guardian and the relevant club or organisation, to create and manage an account.
You agree that:
- the information you provide is accurate and kept up to date;
- you will keep login credentials confidential and notify us promptly of unauthorised access;
- you are responsible for activity that occurs under your account; and
- if you use the Service on behalf of a club, association or other organisation, you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
4. Clubs, teams and authorised users
The Service may be used by team managers, club officials and other authorised users. Organisations that invite or configure users remain responsible for:
- who they grant access to;
- the roles and permissions they assign; and
- ensuring their users comply with these Terms and applicable club or competition rules.
You must not share accounts in a way that undermines security or privacy, or allow access by people who are not authorised by the relevant club or team.
5. Player and contact information
TeamStar Manager is designed so that players and other contacts may interact with team processes (for example availability, payments or voting) without creating their own account, including via mobile number or similar contact methods.
If you upload or use someone else’s personal information in the Service, you represent and warrant that:
- you have a lawful basis to collect and use that information for the purposes you intend;
- you have provided any notices required under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (or equivalent laws); and
- you will only use communications features (including SMS) for legitimate team, club or competition purposes and in accordance with applicable spam and telecommunications laws.
You must not use the Service to send unsolicited marketing, harassment, or messages unrelated to team or club administration.
6. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Service unlawfully, or to harm, threaten or harass any person;
- upload false, misleading or defamatory content;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service, including by introducing malware;
- reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse the Service except as permitted by law;
- use the Service to process payment card data outside the flows we provide;
- misrepresent your identity, club affiliation or authority; or
- use the Service in a way that creates unreasonable load or compromises security or privacy.
We may investigate suspected misuse and suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.
7. Your content and data
You (or your organisation) retain ownership of content and data you submit to the Service (“Customer Data”), including team, player and fixture-related information.
You grant TeamStar a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, process, transmit, display and otherwise use Customer Data solely to provide, maintain, secure and improve the Service, and to comply with law.
You are responsible for the accuracy of Customer Data and for decisions made using the Service (including selections, payments and voting outcomes).
8. Payments
Where payment features are enabled, TeamStar Manager may facilitate collection of amounts related to team or club activities (for example game fees). Payments may be processed by third-party providers (such as Stripe or other payment partners).
You acknowledge that:
- payment processors have their own terms and privacy policies;
- we are not a bank and do not hold funds as a deposit-taking institution;
- settlement timing, fees, refunds and chargebacks are subject to the relevant payment provider rules and any settings configured by the club or manager; and
- you must only collect amounts you are authorised to collect, and provide clear information to payers about what they are paying for.
Unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing, fees payable to TeamStar for use of the Service (if any) are non-refundable except where required by Australian Consumer Law.
9. Communications (including SMS)
The Service may send SMS, email or other messages to contacts whose details you supply. Message and data rates may apply to recipients depending on their carrier.
You are responsible for:
- the content and timing of messages you initiate;
- obtaining any required consents; and
- honouring opt-out or stop requests where required by law or good practice.
10. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy (as published on our website from time to time). By using the Service, you acknowledge that Privacy Policy.
Clubs and managers using the Service may be independent controllers of personal information they upload. You must handle that information lawfully and in line with your own privacy obligations.
11. Intellectual property
The Service, including software, design, branding, documentation and related materials, is owned by TeamStar or its licensors. Except for the limited right to use the Service under these Terms, no rights are granted to you.
You must not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from our intellectual property except as expressly permitted.
12. Third-party services
The Service may integrate with or rely on third-party services (for example hosting, SMS, payment, analytics or authentication providers). We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control, except to the extent we cannot exclude liability under law.
13. Availability and support
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. Scheduled maintenance, outages, or events beyond our reasonable control may affect availability.
Support requests can be sent to info@teamstar.net.au. Response times may vary and are not guaranteed unless set out in a separate written agreement.
14. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that the Service will meet every operational requirement of your club or competition, or that voting, selection or payment outcomes will be free from user error.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy conferred by the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified by agreement.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TeamStar is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary loss, including loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunity, whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of:
- the fees you paid to TeamStar for the Service in the 12 months before the claim; and
- AUD $100.
Where Australian Consumer Law applies and our liability cannot be excluded, our liability is limited, at our option, to resupplying the services or paying the cost of having the services supplied again.
16. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TeamStar and its officers, employees and contractors from claims, losses, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- your use of the Service;
- Customer Data you submit;
- messages or communications you initiate;
- your breach of these Terms; or
- your infringement of any person’s rights, including privacy or intellectual property rights,
except to the extent caused by our fraud, wilful misconduct or negligence.
17. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continuing to provide the Service creates a security, legal or operational risk.
On termination, your right to use the Service ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits and indemnity) continue.
We may delete or retain Customer Data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, legal obligations and ordinary backup practices. Contact us if you need assistance with data export before closing an account.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms with a revised effective date. Material changes may also be notified by email or in-product notice where practicable. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
19. General
- These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia. Courts of Western Australia have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
- If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
- These Terms are the entire agreement between you and TeamStar about the Service, unless a separate written agreement expressly applies.
- You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign them in connection with a restructure, sale or similar transaction.
- Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
